Strata Manufacturing-wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company and regarded as one of the world’s leading producers of aerostructures made from advanced composite materials-and Embraer signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 on Tuesday (21). The MoA marks a significant move towards expanding cooperation between the two companies in advanced aerospace manufacturing.

Scope of the MoA: advanced composite aerostructures for Embraer programmes

Under the Memorandum of Agreement, a framework is set out to assess the potential for Strata to supply advanced composite aerostructures to Embraer’s commercial aircraft programmes. As part of the arrangement, the two companies will examine possible work packages for the E2 jet family, following a structured timetable covering technical, commercial and contractual stages.

The initiative underscores both companies’ shared focus on innovation, manufacturing excellence and building more resilient global supply chains. By combining Embraer’s experience in developing commercial aircraft with Strata’s established capability in manufacturing advanced composite structures, the collaboration aims to support the development of next-generation aerostructure technologies.

Beyond the E2 family, the MoA also sets out the companies’ intention to explore opportunities to cooperate on other Embraer aircraft programmes.

Strategic intent: long-term partnerships and resilient supply chains

The agreement supports Strata’s strategy to broaden its footprint across the global aerospace industry through long-term partnerships with aircraft manufacturers. It also aligns with the company’s objective of strengthening the United Arab Emirates as a competitive hub for advanced aerospace manufacturing, helping to diversify and reinforce international supply chains.

Sara Abdulla AlMemari, Acting CEO of Strata, said: “This agreement with Embraer represents an important step in expanding Strata’s global partnerships with leading aircraft manufacturers. It reflects the confidence in our advanced composite manufacturing capabilities and our ability to deliver world-class aerostructures that meet the highest standards of quality, precision and reliability. We look forward to working closely with Embraer and moving towards a long-term partnership that drives innovation and sustainable growth in the aerospace industry.”

Roberto Chaves, Embraer’s Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain, noted: “Strata has built a solid reputation as a trusted aerospace manufacturer, with expertise in advanced composites and a proven track record of operational excellence. With this Memorandum of Agreement, we take an important step towards evaluating new opportunities to strengthen our global supply chain, while supporting the continued success of our commercial aircraft programmes. We look forward to working together to assess the technical and industrial potential of this collaboration.”

The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement at Farnborough International Airshow 2026 further highlights the strategic value of international partnerships in driving innovation, expanding industrial capability and sustaining long-term growth across the global aerospace sector.
