Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Smart Gas Water Heater 2 Silent Constant Temperature 16L, a new gas water heater that prioritises quiet operation and precise water-temperature control. The new model goes on sale with a starting price of just $280.

Quiet running and smooth control

At the lowest load, the heater’s noise level is only 32 dB(A). It also offers stepless inverter-based adjustment of the water flow.

Water pressure boosting and sterilisation

The unit includes TSI boosting technology which, Xiaomi says, can raise water pressure in older homes and on upper floors by up to 246%. Another stated feature is sterilisation with 99.9% effectiveness.

Xiaomi smart home integration

The water heater supports integration with Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem and can be controlled from a smartphone.
